Roma have lived in Europe for over 1,000 years since originally migrating from India and are the largest minority group in Europe.

Roma communities often experience health inequalities and poorer health outcomes.  A number of factors contribute to this including poor living conditions, reduced access to healthcare, insecure employment; poor working conditions, exploitation, education, lifestyles, community cohesion, stigma, prejudice and discrimination.
