The Support Bank, held every Friday at BHA for Equality in Manchester, is an informal peer support group which provides a food bank for HIV positive service users.

This project provides an essential service for service users who find it difficult to afford adequate nutritional supplies and is funded through our fundraising activities.

The service is for individuals and families who are affected by HIV and experiencing financial hardship.

The food bank is not just a means to an end. It’s an opportunity for people with similar experiences and needs, to come together in a safe space to socialise, to take comfort in one another and interact with others who understand their situations and support them.
